Mission Statement

It is the mission of the North County Fire Protection District of Monterey County to provide the highest level of service to protect the lives, property, and environment of the North County communities, by providing prompt and professional services in the event of fire, medical emergency, rescue, environmental disaster, or any other event which threatens the public welfare.


BOARD MEETINGS

The North County Fire Protection District Board of Directors generally conduct a monthly public meeting in the Castroville Public Library’s meeting room, located at 11160 Speegle St. Castroville, CA 95012. The Castroville Public library is handicapped accessible and offers vast services to local residents. Click here for directions to the Castroville Public Library.

Hiring Reserve Personnel

North County FPD is currently seeking reserve firefighters. The application period is open year round and hiring takes place semi-annually. Please read the minimum requirements below prior to applying. Applications can be picked up in person from our Administrative Office, located at NCD Station #1 - 11200 Speegle Street, Castroville, CA.

Requirements -

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Have a current National Registry EMT or Paramedic Card

  • Hold a current CPAT Card

  • Hold a valid Class C (or higher) CA Driver's License

  • Hold a High School Diploma or GED

  • Be a resident of our Tri-County area, living within 30 minutes of any North County Fire District Station. Please reference our NCFPD page link for station locations below.
